Biography & Research Abstract

Abstract:

Currently, deaf and hard of hearing students have an inequitable atmosphere due to real time captioning services in lagging, delays, and more. This as a result, affects students performance and cognitive load, which can impact the environment a student is in. ScribeAR aims to curb this issue by integrating real time captioning with augmented reality headsets, utilizing current services such as Webspeech, Microsoft Azure, and Streamtext.
