Computer science faculty and students consistently contribute to leadership in teaching and research at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2024, the university and Grainger College of Engineering will honor CS faculty members for their excellence in classrooms and research labs in two public events.
The Grainger College of Engineering Annual Engineering Awards Ceremony takes place on April 29, and the Student Awards ceremony happens on April 27.
CS professor Nancy M. Amato has received The Grainger College of Engineering's 2024 College Award for Leadership of Institutional Impact in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
CS professor Yael Gertner has received The Grainger College of Engineering's 2024 Collins Award for Innovative Teaching.
CS professor Dakshita Khurana has received The Grainger College of Engineering's 2024 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research for Assistant Professor.
