Anil Singhal

Anil Singhal co-founded NETSCOUT in June 1984 and has served as President and CEO since its inception. In this role, Mr. Singhal provides strategic leadership and sets operational priorities for the company's management team. His vision for deep packet inspection at scale has guided NETSCOUT's product direction and focus for nearly four decades, helping to shape the evolution of the network performance management and security industries.

Under Mr. Singhal's leadership, NETSCOUT has grown substantially, completing its initial public offering in 1999 and reaching over $1 billion in annual revenues following the July 2015 acquisition of Danaher's Communications Business. He transformed NETSCOUT’s offering from a product portfolio focused on enterprise and communications service provider networks to a market-leading network visibility platform with solutions for enterprise performance management, carrier service assurance, DDoS protection, and cybersecurity. Central to the company’s continuous innovation is proprietary metadata technology that provides customers with actionable insights at any scale.

He is credited with numerous innovations in the field of deep packet inspection and network performance monitoring and analysis that have helped NETSCOUT gain myriad industry accolades, including the recent 2022 Frost & Sullivan Global Wireless Network Monitoring and Service Assurance Company of the Year award, the 2022 TMS Cloud Computing Excellence award, and the 2022 Fortress Cyber Security award. In addition, Mr. Singhal is a published author and has earned notable recognition for his entrepreneurial success, including The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) Boston Lifetime Achievement, Enterprise Bank's George L. Duncan Award of Excellence, and Ernst & Young's New England Entrepreneur of the Year. 

Mr. Singhal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
