Igor dos Santos Montagner has a Bachelor’s (2010) and Doctorate (2017) in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo, with a doctoral internship at INSA-Rouen, France. During his doctorate, he worked with automatic learning of operators between images, an area that combines machine learning and image processing. He is currently doing research in Computer Education. His focus is on the use of student-centered teaching methodologies and their impact on learning professional skills that go beyond the content taught in the classroom. He is also interested in the use of Free Software in the academic environment and how its use can benefit students’ education.
