Biography & Research Abstract

Abstract:

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a massive daily influx of biomedical publications, making it hard for medical researchers to synthesize all the published information and find the most relevant papers. To automate this time-consuming process and aid researchers, we hope to apply recent state-of-the-art advances in NLP and information extraction to medical publications, for tasks such as information retrieval, COVID-19 knowledge graph (KG) generation, question-answering (QA), multimedia mining and drug report generation. Further, we hope to integrate these (and other existing) frameworks into an integrated human-in-the-loop intelligent knowledge assistant to enhance existing drug discovery tools and accelerate vaccine research.
