How did you get interested in Computer Science?
I became interested in computer science while learning math education because of its potential to enhance my understanding of mathematics and real-world applications. Especially, I discovered that computer science has in common with mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques. As I learn how to program, analyze algorithms, and design data structures, I believe I will gain a deeper understanding of the beauty and power of mathematical reasoning.

What social interests matter to you?

What is your most impactful iCAN experience?
In my first semester in iCAN, I had the assignment to write a program for Blackjack game. The project was challenging because it required us to understand Python syntaxes and apply those according to the game rules. When I ran the program, I was surprised that the result looked like online games I’ve played before. As I worked on the project, I learned a lot about a new programming language and computer science concepts. Also, this experience significantly impacted me as it opened my eyes to the possibilities of using programming to solve real-world problems. It also gave me the confidence to pursue more advanced projects in the field and explore the many technological industry opportunities.
