Jill Zmaczynski

An honors graduate of CS @ ILLINOIS, Jill Zmaczynski currently works as a business systems analyst at Paradigm Outcomes in Lombard, Illinois, where she designed the company’s application for managing the workflow of customer communications and outcomes.

She has also worked for GE Global Research, where she developed a Java-based web tool for scheduling all of NBC’s television broadcasts, and for GE Healthcare, where she developed software for clinical settings.  Between positions at GE, she earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 

Zmaczynski has worked to encourage girls to study engineering. She joined the Society of Women Engineers at Illinois and now is a life member, serving on the Executive Board of the Chicago Regional Section. Throughout her career, she has also been involved with college recruiting and supporting early-career employees.

She has served on the Department of Computer Science’s Alumni Advisory Board, and she has participated as both a panelist and an alumni attendee of the Engineering at Illinois Convergence, an event for alumni to interact with current and prospective Illinois students.
